Finding Your True Voice

Dearest Singers,

This summer's family project with my kids was "The Tree Exhibit."

Since May, we've researched local and exotic trees, made lots of art, and then had a "showing" for our neighbors and friends this past weekend.

At our Tree Exhibit showing yesterday, I spoke with someone who took a singing class called "Finding your True Voice."

It made me wonder what "Finding your True Voice" really means or what other people think it means.

I tried to find my True Voice for about 20 years!

I searched for it in College, Grad School, and for ten years after Grad School.

And then I found it!

My last teacher, Franco, showed me my True Voice.

He trained me in Voice Building.

He showed me how to strengthen the muscles that directly control all aspects of your singing voice.

Only when the vocal muscles are coordinated can you find your True Voice.

Everything else is just woo-woo witchcraft.

Believe me; I've been through it all.

Now, I can sing any type of music with my True Voice.

It's really fun!

But my favorite part...

is teaching others how to do it.

The Sing with Josh Vocal Academy has been a blast to create.

Students in the Academy from all over the world are finding their True Voice.

I can only hope that family concerts, friendly sing-a-longs, and campfire jam sessions are happening in abundance!
